EAT TO WIN

Here some good ideas and 10 "Clean" Foods for athletes and people in action that workout and wish to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The fast-paced nature of our modern lives has caused many people to turn to quick, pre-packaged foods for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dr. Jonathan Wright, coauthor of "Eating Clean For Dummies", says that these foods don't pack the nutritious punch that our bodies need. Fortunately, here I can offer some healthy alternatives. ARE YOU READY?? When you go food shopping, are most of the foods you go for in boxes, cans, or some other packaging that you can barely pronounced? If so, then you are in the WRONG track and may not be getting all the vitamins and nutrients that are necessary for a healthy lifestyle. "THINK OF EATING CLEAN AS CLEANING UP YOUR LIFE AND HELPING YOU PERFORM BETTER IN SPORTS AND IN YOUR LIFE IN GENERAL". Essentially, the eating clean plan calls you to do the following: > Eat the foods made by nature, not MAN; > Plan to eat five to six meals and snacks throughout the day; > Avoid processed foods (in other words, anything in boxes and labels); > Use healthy cooking methods, (for instance using olive oil or grape-seed oil); > Eat before you become so hungry; > Stop eating when you are satisfied and not stuffed; > Don't count your calories, fat grams or points, because this is just an illusion; > Enjoy and appreciate its flavor. REMEMBER, EATING CLEAN IS NOT A DIET, BUT A LIFESTYLE AND A VERY HEALTHY ONE. Now, the 10 clean foods: 1. Sweet potatoes; 2. Fish, like salmon; 3. Olive oil is the way to dress your food; 4. Vegetables; 5. Nuts (almonds, Brazilian nuts); 6. Green leaves; 7. Some sweet, try blueberries for instance, or a pear with honey and cheese; 8. Celery and other delicious roots, like carrots and beets; 9. Fruits; 10. Only whole foods and nothing processed. Now, you are ready for that healthy look and to have some great fun!! Enjoy it!
