The first time I met Alcides here in Baltimore about 10 years ago, it was a major click and we became friends instantly. Of course, we both have our Minas Gerais State background and share the same family and humanitarian principles. Alcides is remarkable and besides being a tremendous friend, Alcides is an artist and his love for the art has turn him into a new generation of Brazilian-American artists who deliver incredible artwork to the World, so we all may appreciate it.
Alcides was born in Divinopolis, MG, Brazil and grew up in this small community, but full of family and friends surrounding him, where they all shared the same principle to give and to create. Besides, Alcides learned since young the gift of hard-work and how to work with family and friends to build a better community. As Alcides always says, he believes in a Creator, and this belief has turn him into this great human being and artist. I am very pleased to share here some of his artwork, which really impressed me, in view of such richness of colors and expression, which really fulfill anyone's admiration for art.
