QUESTION: HOW DID YOUR FITNESS JOURNEY BEGIN?
My journey into fitness began years ago, but I officially started to make progress and became knowledgeable about training and dieting in January 2013. I enjoyed sports when I was young and was in good shape, but as I grew older, sports ended and adult life
took over. I gained weight and purchased bigger clothing, which triggered a force inside me to get back into the gym. I started emailing, calling and booking consultations with trainers, and checked out different gyms, but I was still unmotivated and unexcited.
A year later, I thought back to the sports I played and how great it was to feel comfortable in a bikini. At that point, I gained 25 pounds and missed the compliments from others about my athleticism and fit body. The next day, I got up and walked into my tanning salon in Red Deer, Alberta, where I knew the owner trained people for competitions. I told him I wanted to be part of a program that would push me to the extreme and gain a competitive edge again. He told me about a training program for a bikini competition and I accepted the offer. We took the necessary steps to prepare for competition and I've trained hard since.
QUESTION: WHAT FITNESS REGIMEN DELIVERED THE BEST RESULTS?
My lifts change weekly, which forces me to improve and gain muscle and strength. I enjoy HIIT training and run at a max incline on the treadmill.
