Keep Baby Safe in a Carrier

Baby carriers can help busy parents stay hands-free for a while, but it's important to use them properly.
The American Academy of Pediatrics offers these safety tips for baby carriers: 1. Check the weight limit to be sure the specific carrier is appropriate for your baby. 2. Make sure the carrier provides good support for baby's neck and head, and avoid those that curl baby up. 3. Weigh the features and comfort against price, and consider how much you are willing to pay. 4. If baby falls asleep in the carrier, make sure the head and neck are straight, and the face isn't covered.
