Watch for Signs of Elder Abuse

Caring for an elderly person can be a stressful challenge, and sometimes that can lead to abuse. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says potential signs of elder abuse among caregivers include: 1. Drinking too much alcohol or abusing drugs. 2. Showing high levels of stress. 3. Lacking social support. 4. Becoming dependent on the elder, either financially or emotionally. 5. Showing signs of depression.
