Why You Need Vitamin C

You probably don’t know how much you need Vitamin C.
Vitamin C is a potent water soluble vitamin which is best known as an immune supporter, free radical fighter and all around disease fighter. It is, but it is also so much more. Thanks to the latest research, I can add these to the list of benefits of Vitamin C: 1. Boosts exercise capacity. In short, Vitamin C helps to reduce heart rate. This can be very beneficial for those engaged in very intense training; that is, they can maintain higher levels of intensity for longer periods of time. 2. Fights fatigue. Here is an interesting study. Office workers were given Vitamin C. They reported less fatigue after 2 hours and also after a full day.
3. Increases NO levels. Vitamin C combined with some of the major ingredients in other supplements was found to enhance nitric oxide (NO) levels. NO levels have been strongly correlated with increase strength, endurance and libido. 4. Helps burn fat. People who combined Vitamin C with a healthy eating plan lost considerably more weight versus those on the same eating plan. Why? Vitamin C is needed for the creation of carnitine which helps carry fat out of the stores and into the mitochondria of cells so it can be burned for fuel. It may not get all of the press as some of the exotic herbs and other nutrition gets, but Vitamin C is one of the Top 5 “must have” substances for virtually everyone. Sticking around the 2000mg per day is a good idea. Alternating between 1000 and 2500mg is a better idea. Do not let the body get used to any substance, even if it is a great one like Vitamin C.
