Our lives can be challenging, overwhelming and hectic. We struggle to get everything done. The days seem to be never ending yet too short to accomplish everything on our list.
Stuck in an automatic pilot, we go about our lives tired and restless wishing that things could be different. And the good news is that they can be if you choose to raise your energy.
You see energy is everywhere. It is the core structure of our physical world and in the empty space that connects everything. It’s in the trees and the plants that emerge from the earth.
It’s in the hearts of strangers you pass on the street and the people you love. It unites all things and resonates across distances.
Like a tuning fork, it harmonizes and affects our environment and circumstances whether we realize it or not. Understanding this fact is the key to transforming our lives.
Now, that’s hardly a new concept and I’m sure you've heard it all before but have you experienced the power of thoughts consciously? Would you like to? If so, read the following instructions and give it a try!
Sit down comfortably with your eyes closed and take a few deep breaths (inhale for 4 seconds and exhale for 6 seconds). Now focus on a recent or distant event that made you furious.
Relive it in your mind in vivid details while paying attention to what’s going on in your body. How does it feel? It is tight or expensive? If it had a color, what color would it be? Pay close attention to all the sensations in your body and when you've had enough, open your eyes, take a few deep breaths and shake it off.
How was it? Did you get a good feel for it? Now, let’s try the same thing with happy thoughts! Again, sit down comfortably, take a few deep breaths and think of a really happy, blissful memory. Got it? Focus on the sensation this memory generates in your body.
Ask it to amplify so you can really experience it in all its glory. Where do you feel it? If it had a color and texture, what would it be? Stay in that state as long as you want and when you are ready, open your eyes, take a few deep breaths and shake it off.
This small exercise is a great way to understand at a gut level how thoughts affect our bodies and that we have direct control over them. But the implications run deeper.
Thoughts vibrate at a certain level depending on their nature (joy and love vibrate really high while shame and fear vibrate really low) and they attract things/events that vibrate at the same rate (Law of Attraction).
So the key to transforming our lives and attracting the reality we really want is to choose to vibrate at a higher level by controlling our thoughts pattern.
