What is on Your List? The Loser vs The Winner

There are two types of list people make. They make these lists in their minds. This mental list hides in the subconscious and its voice is heard as a whisper, telling you the key points on the list.

But what is on your list? What does your list tell you in the night, while you are lying in bed thinking about the direction of your life?

I know most people have the Unforgiving list. But there are a few that have the Invincible list.- So let’s look at both list, and you will soon realize why that voice in your head tells you the things it does.

The Unforgiving list.

This one speaks with words that are common. Words that are familiar. These are the kind of words that teachers speak at school, the pastor speaks at church, and the employer speaks at work.
  1. If you work real hard and you save your money you can have a nice retirement.
  2. Things never work out the way you want.
  3. Life is hard and you have to take what you get.
  4. If you wish and hope and you are obedient, you may receive blessings.
  5. It is selfish and greedy to think about your needs and desires.
  6. You cannot be a good person and live an abundant life.
  7. How can you think about yourself when there are so many people in the world suffering?
  8. You’re not as good or talented as the rich and successful people.
  9. You’re just not that lucky.
  10. Life always #@*# on me.

As you can see, this list will speak great words of discouragement to you. It speaks to you while you are doing other tasks, while you are not aware of its voice.

But it is there sending you messages from your list. It is an unforgiving list made to keep you from experiencing the hardships of failure. It is a defense mechanism.

Almost everyone starts out with this list, but here’s the good news. You can write a new list. The kind of list that successful people have. The kind of list that everyone should have.

I call it the Invincible list because with the messages from this list you will feel that there is nothing standing in your way. The messages from this list will encourage you and inspire you to achieve

The Invincible List.

This one speaks words of ambition, confidence, achievement and empowerment. These are the kind of words that your teacher, pastor and employer tell themselves.

  1. To lead I must first succeed.
  2. I am smart enough and able to learn what I don’t know.
  3. I love rising above the challenge. I am not afraid to fall because I know I can keep climbing.
  4. I can only help people if I help myself first.
  5. The harder I work on my dreams and goals, the more life rewards me for my efforts.
  6. I know I will find a way, I always find a way.
  7. If they can do it, I can too.
  8. It is my right to succeed.
  9. Failure’s not an option

If these words are speaking to you in times of strife and uncertainty how can you possible be stopped? You may be slowed down but the messages that you continuously receive will drive you to move forward. You become invincible.

The Invincible list is a list of all the reasons why you should pursue your goals and dreams. It is an important piece of the self-empowerment pie.

This mental list should be ever present and available to you. With it you can travel down the road of making your dreams a reality.
