Wake-Up and Sweat

Hop out of bed and lace up those sneakers. A new British study shows that exercising in place of breakfast can help you lose lard (fat). Men who skipped breakfast in the morning burned as much as 20 percent more body fat than they preceded their workout with food. Plus, they consumed no more at lunch than they did on the days they ate breakfast. In fact, after an overnight fast, your blood has a high concentration of fatty acids that can be used for fuel. After a typical meal, your muscles use carbs for fuel instead.
